Artspots-update is a Ruby script that downloads the latest submissions from Artspots or Jaxpad to a local folder, and if necessary removes images that are too old. You can then point your favorite wallpaper / screensaver / slideshow app to this folder, and enjoy some anthro art.
There are instructions for Linux and Windows.
Images are not stored by their original names. Instead you'll see names such as "118195216.jpg". The script has an option to delete old images, and it uses this number to keep track of the order in which they were published.
The image's information is stored in a separate .title file. So for example, you would also find a file named "118195216.title". This is a plain text file with the title, the name of the artist, and a direct link to its place on Artspots or Jaxpad.
If you don't like a particular image, you can delete it manually. The script won't download any images that are older than the newest one that was found on your harddisk.
